So Im confused, is this a bar? A venue? A clothing store? An insurance nightmare? A historical piece of downtown Houston? Well, I cant answer that but I can tell you it was a night full of music, friends, drinks and a tazer. Thats right…..a tazer.
I wont keep you waiting for an explanation of the tazer so ill get through the normal. I played drums with 10%. It was a fun show. Yadda yadda blah blah…. anyway…
So after we finished, a band called Beaches took the stage. As they kept the attention of the crowd…something was brewing outside. Like any other retarded person, I naturally went outside to see what was going on. As expected, it was a fight!! YES!! FIGHT FIGHT FIGHT!! What happened next was what nobody expected…one of the guys in the fight got his hands on a mexican switchblade. Whats that you ask? Well, thats when you grip a beer bottle upside down, smash it on the ground and use the broken bottle as a weapon. As you can imagine, shit immediately got real. I mean, we have all seen a few drunken d bags flexing muscles and having a slap fight…but mexican switchblades take it up a few levels. Another staple in your standard drunken d bag fight, is the screaming girlfriend. Yeah thats the one….you know…”You guys stop!!” While she cries and tries to stop her “man” from breaking one of his nails. Well, the girl was there..but she wasnt crying..or pleaded…Instead, she reached in her purse..held a tazer in the air and pulled the trigger. POP POP POP POP POP POP…yeah I was a solid 25 feet from her and I still backed away even further..NO THANKS! That noise quickly dispersed the crowd and the fight was over.. yeah the guys were still running their mouths and the cops showed up but a tazer put everyone in check! Actually, now that I think about it, she bailed..she was smart. They guys stuck around as if the cops were going to understand and take one of their sides. No luck buddy.
Aside from all that..I had the pleasure of seeing Marcus Acker play. I mean, Ive played with Marcus before but always at churches. This was a nice change. He really is a talented guy. He warned me about his singing but he did a damn good job! Hope to see him and his band again soon! Check them out!
Thank you Shane for the video! Houses in a Row!
